TASTA VILALBA 2024 starts, arriving on the weekend of June 7 and 8, with the first sample of local product. The objective is to promote and value the producers of our town and the products they make. This event combines culture, gastronomy, music and art. During these two days, we will be able to enjoy visits to the producers’ farms, a sample of their products, pinchos, workshops, art and concerts.
One of the participating companies is La Gaeta, as a producer of extra virgin olive oil. At the inauguration of the local product exhibition, La Gaeta will present a sample of empeltre, arbequina and sevillian olives. This opportunity will allow visitors to learn about and taste these varieties of excellent quality olives.
The opening ceremony on Friday the 7th is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. We will be present with a tasting of our empeltre, sevillian and arbequina olives. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the flavors and aromas of local products!
Additionally, on Saturday, June 8, La Gaeta will offer two special activities:
1. Visit to the Oil Mill: At 10:00 in the morning visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the extraction process of extra virgin olive oil in La Gaeta. You will discover the secrets of this traditional oil milling.
2. Olive Oil Tasting: At 5:00 p.m., La Gaeta will participate in the ‘local product samples’ with the possibility of tasting Empeltre extra virgin olive oil and Arbequina extra virgin olive oil.
